It’s Winnie the Pooh’s hundredth birthday!  Some of Powerhouse Theatre’s talented teens will be touring this original play by Jaydie Halperin based on the original AA Milne stories to libraries around the Lakes Region to help families celebrate Pooh’s big milestone.  Appropriate for all ages.

Pooh was inspired by a black bear.

The character of Winnie the Pooh was inspired by a black bear named Winnipeg, or “Winnie,” who lived at London Zoo.

The captive bear was the mascot of a Canadian regiment during World War I and was a favorite of A.A. Milne’s son, Christopher Robin Milne.
